Whether you're in need of fuel, auto service, food or rest, Gladstone offers a friendly, convenient, comfortable stop. Visit the famous Happy Rock,the community roadside attraction located on Highway #16, for tourist information and to have pictures taken. It is a well known fact that stopping and having your picture taken under the "Happy Rock" will bring good luck to you as you travel along the Trans Canada Yellowhead Highway.This past July
2010, "Happy Rock" was
commemorated with its own
Canada Post Stamp.

For travellers looking for a prolonged break, Gladstone offers an assortment of activities that can occupy an afternoon or a week's time. Williams RV Park and Campground in the northwest corner of town offers modern facilities including washrooms, showers, playground, well-kept grounds, outdoor pool (open June - August) and basketball courts. There are even stables for your horses! Visitors can also take a walk through one of the local museums and get a feel for Gladstone’s rich prairie past. Golfers are invited to
enjoy the scenic and challenging 9-hole
course at the Gladstone Golf & Country Club,
just south of Gladstone. The clubhouse

Bird watching enthusiast are invited to enjoy the experience of one of the best bird watching locations in Canada, as Big Grass Marsh is located just north of Gladstone. This was the very first Ducks Unlimited Conservation project and is considered an important Bird Area of Canada.

Gladstone has a trading area of approximately 5000 people. An Orthodox Mennonite Community (similar to Amish) has been established just west of Gladstone, and because of it horse drawn buggies are a common sight in Gladstone. The Annual Agricultural Society Fair and Ranch Rodeo takes place in August.
